A 22-year-old guy and his 76-year-old wife joined TikTok where they share videos of themselves kissing and showering love on each other.
The couple with a 53-year age gap met at Almeda’s son’s funeral and got clicked instantly.
At that time Almeda was 71 and Gary was just 17. He came to offer a condolence to Almeda and she says she couldn’t stop herself thinking about him.
Later, they met at a Chuck E Cheese birthday party, and their relationship started growing. Gary describes himself as ‘really mature for his age,’ and revealed that he had been in an unhappy relationship with a 77-year-old woman when he met Almeda for the first time.
After two weeks of dating, he proposed to Almeda and the couple tied the knot on October 26, 2015 when he had turned 18. Almeda revealed that there was no romance in her past relationship, though she has four children and six grandchildren.
In a video on her YouTube channel, Almeda said: ‘I was married for 43 years and there wasn’t a lot of kissy, huggy stuff going on… no romance,’ referring to her past relationship. ‘[My current relationship] it’s a whirlwind.’
Speaking about Gary she said, ‘We are always complimenting and kissing. We’re enjoying our relationship. When you meet that perfect one, that’s when you know you don’t want to lose that feeling.’
Gary has posted more than 300 TikTok videos, showing off their relationship. On Valentine’s day he wrote on his Instagram, ‘I celebrate our love and thank God for sending me my angel, my soulmate each and every day.’
‘You are such an amazing wife in every single way. You support me in everything I do, you show me unconditional love everyday and you always make me laugh and smile no matter what. You are truly the best my love. Thank you for everything you do baby. I am forever grateful to be your husband.’
Gary revealed that he was never attracted to younger women as he always had a thing for older women. ‘I never feel as though I’m missing out on anything by being married to Almeda,’ Gary said.
‘I’ve never been attracted to younger women. Even when I was 13 or 14, I’ve always had an attraction for older women and when I told my grandmother, who raised me, I didn’t know how she would take it. But she accepted us.’
