A gay couple who sexually abused a 13-year-old boy after plying him with cocaine and alcohol were jailed for almost 20 years.
Jason Millar and Michael Riley abused the child when he was only 13. The victim’s mother said to Liverpool Crown Court that her son was left ‘a broken child.’
The pedos blackmailed the teen by saying they had photos of them snorting cocaine off his body. They also threatened to tell his mother he had been drinking and taking the drug, saying it would land him back in care.
Millar, 44, from Dundee, was jailed for 9 years while Riley, 31, received a total of 10 years.
Riley had admitted three offenses of causing a minor to engage in sexual activity. He is currently serving 22 months for child porn offenses. Millar admitted two of the charges.
Prosecutor Martine Snowdown said that Riley befriended the child and his unsuspecting mother believed he and his partner were giving him guidance and support.
However, she didn’t know that the couple were plying him with alcohol and cocaine and sexually abused him from August 2016 to July 2017.
As soon as suspicions arose, the mother stopped her son from visiting them and details of the incidents emerged. Police officers found that Riley had photos of the child on his phone including him without clothes in the shower.
Sentencing Judge Anil Murray ordered them to sign the Sex Offenders Register for life and executed Sexual Harm Prevention Orders and restraining orders on them for fifteen years.
