A couple breastfeed their babies together after the mom who didn’t carry the children took up ‘induced lactation.

37-year-old Kelly Pfeiffer gave birth to their newborns last month and has shared photos of their breastfeeding sessions.
Kelly and her wife, 34-year-old Jaclyn, said they’re “absolutely in love” with Ella and Jackson. Being able to breastfeed their babies together thanks to induced lactation is “so surreal.”
Women can produce milk even if they weren’t pregnant by stimulating breastfeeding or taking hormonal medication.
“Since they [Jackson and Ella] have arrived, it has been both amazing and exhausting,” Kelly shared.
“We’re still trying to get into a routine, but I can’t think of a better reason to be exhausted – we’re absolutely in love.
“Being able to breastfeed our children together is so surreal and we love it. We had no idea what our options were for having a baby when we first started out.
“And we had never even heard of induced lactation, which is the process that enables Jaclyn to be able to breastfeed our twins.
“We want other couples to know what their options are, and that they’re not alone in this process.”
The couple tried inseminations at IVF clinics and at home, had to have egg retrievals, polyp removals, embryo implantations, numerous consultations, and hundreds of injections to have a baby.
“I can’t even describe how I felt when I first saw them. I couldn’t stop crying and instantly just felt so much love for them. I knew all of our struggles were worth it,” Jaclyn expressed.
“Finally finding out we were pregnant was surreal – but it was very hard to trust that it was going to last,” Kelly added.
