A young couple has shocked the world after deciding to chain their hands together for several months in order to test their relationship.
Putting the strength of their bond to a serious test, Alexander and Viktoria from Ukraine decided to take lockdown a step further by binding themselves to one another for three whole months.
Officially starting their test, the couple made a promise to stay hand in hand, literally, while posing for a photo in front of the Unity statue in Kyiv.
Supervising the initiation of the experiment was Vitaly Zorin of the national register of records who confirmed that the couple was “sane” when they decided to challenge themselves by chaining their bodies together.
For three months, the couple will now have to adapt to each other whereas they will not be allowed to break the chain at any given time. From showering to eating and dressing up to taking a number two, Alexander and Viktoria will have to do a lot of adjustment and learn to put each other’s needs first.
To help themselves get through the 3-month experiment, the couple even bought specially-designed clothes with zippers at the side and across the sleeves.
Speaking of their bizarre experiment, Alexander confirmed that he and his partner aim to set a record.
“We are going for a record. There is a chain on us, and all the links are welded. The final link is closed with the seal of the national register of records,” he revealed.
In their viral videos, the couple already started showing off their new routine and the techniques they developed to get by.
While many of us would probably not be able to finish the experiment, the couple is convinced they can manage their new situation. In case they realize that being chained to each other is not going to work, however, the couple will have to call specialists to break through the link and set them free.
