There is a saying, ‘’The secret of a happy marriage is finding the right person.
You know they’re right if you love to be with them all the time.’’
Two 87-year-olds shared their secrets for a lasting marriage, Jesus, music and matching outfits. It has been 68 years of Francis and RoseMary Klontz’s marriage and the love between them is still same.
The couple is going viral for not only being together for decades but there is another reason and it is that the two have been coordinating clothing for nearly seven decades.
“My mother got us matching shirts when we were in high school well, I picked them out and we’ve been matching ever since,” RoseMary told KOVR.
“She just lays it out for me, and I don’t have to worry about a thing,” Francis explained.
“And I thought she was the cutest little thing, By the time we were seniors, we started going together.”
Francis and Rosemary Klonts met in Junior High in Auburn, Washington and they got married at the age of 19.
“Promise me we’ll still be sweethearts,” they sang together for KOVR.
Now, the couple goes by the moniker “Singing Chaplins.” Quite literally “in harmony” with one another, they perform together at their church, as well as at local hospitals.
“We just started this because somebody couldn’t get out to church and they wanted to hear some church music,” she told Good Day Sacramento. “So we sang for them. And then the staff heard it and they wanted us to have a concert.”
“We always hold hands when we sing behind the pulpit,” RoseMary added. “And they all love that.”
The couple also gives credit to their successful married life to Jesus.

“Jesus first, others second, you last –that’s the way you spell JOY. (singing) Jesus and others and you – what a wonderful way to spell joy!” Rosemary Klonts said.
Francis quickly agreed, “Absolutely! We did it.”
