Brandon and Jessica, two random strangers from Waipahu, Hawaii had no idea what the future has in store for them on their trip to Costco.
Jessica went on shopping with her roommate at the Waipahu Costco in Hawaii and filmed herself saying she wishes mac and cheese was healthy and posted the same on her Instagram story.
Brandon was standing there and heard her saying it. According to Delish, Brandon replied, “It’s good for you. It’s cheese and it’s Costco.”
Three months later of their first meeting, the couple went on a date and they are married now. Well, that’s such a cheesy love story which started from Brandon’s cheesy pickup line.
The couple did a photoshoot in the exact aisle their exchange took place, mac and cheese a month later of their wedding to pay tribute to the place.
“We didn’t really think we were going to do it, and we did,” Jessica told Costco. “By the time we got to the aisle, there were different employees walking by congratulating us. Customers were shopping and laughing, taking pictures. Everyone was super nice.”
The couple’s photographer, Lisa Rankin, said, “It was actually a joke the three of us had since I did their first shoot back in 2018.
I asked if they’d be interested in doing a shoot for me, just to get some creative ideas out.
Getting to know their story more and finding out they met at Costco, I said ‘If you ever get married we’ll shoot in the Mac & Cheese aisle.”
“The Aloha Spirit was out in full force that day. Everyone was congratulating them on celebrating a month of marital bliss (we took these photos a month after their actual wedding day.
) Little girls were looking at Jess as if she was a real-life princess, and even the workers at Costco had smiles on their faces.
A few workers even stopped traffic for us so we could safely capture the running shots in front of the store. The whole thing just brought so many smiles.”
Costco shared the story of couple on their Facebook page along with pictures.
They wrote: Nothing says love quite like mac and cheese. For Jessica and Brandon, it brought them together.’’
“Now, the couple spends their “Sunday Funday” grocery shopping at Costco, and going home to meal prep for their weeks. Mac and cheese may or may not be included.’’
“Congratulations, Jessica and Brandon. Wishing you many more years of Costco dates!’’
