What is the use of a grand celebration when it does not change the form of happiness people are sharing?
Weddings are done grand in order to express joy and to cherish it with the people the groom and the bride have closest to their hearts. But it looks like the reason has been left behind and people are now just throwing grand wedding ceremonies to keep other people happy.
This is what inspired a couple who decided to ditch the traditional style of wedding and instead got married in skinny jeans and t-shirts and saved a huge amount of £13,000 that would have put them under debt otherwise.
Rebecca and Glen Maxwell, the beautiful couple said ‘I do’ in the £250 registry office in front of their 40 friends and family members that were extremely happy for them.
The ceremony was then followed by a Center Parcs dinner that only cost the couple £400. This says that they literally got married under £1000.
Not just the couple but the guests appeared in the same dress code of jeans and custom made T-shirts too.
Instead of buying an extremely expensive cake, the couple decided to get muffins instead that had a picture of the couple with their 9 months old baby girl on it.
The wedding was in the way inspired by Glen who told Rebecca that he is going to love her the same way no matter how grand or chilled the wedding is.
Glen and Rebecca had earlier planned to get married on a farm that would have put him under debt as the estimated expense of the wedding was around £14,000. They then decided to keep it calm and low and to celebrate their big day in the way they are and not in the way they wish the world to see them.
