A couple has spoken out and claimed they came across a human tooth in Chinese takeaway they ordered for their dinner.
29-year-old Stephanie McDonough and her 38-year-old boyfriend Dave Burrows were shocked to their bones when they noticed a large foreign object in their pork curry.
As they insisted, they inspected the bizarre piece and concluded that it could be nothing else than a human tooth.
Immediately, the couple called the restaurant and demanded to speak with the manager who maintained innocence and said the ‘tooth’ was most likely a chopped-up onion or animal gristle.
“DO NOT USE NEWTOWN CHINESE WORCESTER!!!” the mother-of-one wrote in her post after the incident.
“Trying to say it’s just gristle from the pork then said it could be from the onion, UHM IT’S A ****ING TOOTH. SHARE SHARE SHARE.”
As Stephanie added in the comments, she and her boyfriend were still waiting for an apology. However, they had the cost of their order repaid.
“We thought it was a bone at first, but it’s definitely a tooth. We both checked it wasn’t any of ours. I phoned the restaurant later that night and the manager really tried to convince me it was gristle in the pork,” the mum-of-one added in an interview.
“She was having none of it. She was trying to come up with different things that it could have been. It was a tooth. It’s more a concern of how it got there.
“Was it spat in there or fell? I’m 90 percent sure it’s a human tooth. It could have come from their food suppliers or wherever.”
Following the stunning finding, the couple reported the incident to the Food Standards Agency to have the foreign object analyzed.
