A Michigan couple whose wedding party was ruined by thieves who stole all 150 gifts that they had set up outside their house fell victim to a low and petty crime.
Alicia and Darreck Trayler were ready to begin their life as a couple when they scheduled a wedding ceremony to take place on Saturday. Because of the pandemic, they decided to hold the ceremony at Darreck’s family house, where the groom’s mother resides.
Again because of Covid-19, the couple had spent weeks preparing for a ceremony that could host some 150 guests while adhering to all the safety precautions that have been implemented in the state.
One of the core aspects of any wedding ceremony is the decoration, which is why they spent a great amount of time organizing the gifts that they have received from family and friends as one of the key decorations for the wedding.
However, little did the couple suspect that their key piece of decoration will be stolen by three women. When this suspicious, uninvited trio showed up to the ceremony, they told the guests that they were moving the gifts indoors for some reason.
After tricking the guests, this vile trio of women took off with every single gift that the newly weds had received from the guests. The exact amount and nature of the stolen goods are unclear, but that is of course no where near important as the feeling of losing all gifts.
The disheartened bride expressed this very feeling to the local news reporters. Alicia said she is hurt by the thieves who deliberately decided to steal the precious gifts that her loved ones must have carefully prepared for her on the happiest day of her life.
Alicia said that both she and her groom was so disappointed and heartbroken by the crime that they could not continue the festive mood, and instead just decided to return home without doing anything much.
The local police have launched an investigation into the suspicious trio and the crime itself. It is possible that they are local neighbors who gathered for this crime.
