Renee and Anna Mclnarnay, 36 and 35, from Mississippi, US, shared how they managed to overcome infertility problems and became pregnant before delivering their babies only two days apart.
Both of them underwent IVF treatment and they were informed that they only had 38 percent chance of success due to their ages.
Renee even had a lower chance as she had polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS before. They thought that it would be impossible for them to conceive.
The couple, who have been together for almost two decades, documented their struggles online but received hateful comments from online trolls.
Finally, they received a call informing them that Anna was pregnant. To make things even better, Renee, who only produced one egg, was also bearing a child!
The two described the news as a ‘miracle’ and they attended birthing classes together. They also planned to deliver their babies on the same day.
But because of some problems, both of them required C-sections after long labors and they decided to deliver their angels separately.
Renee gave birth to Emma Reese on October 13. The cute angel weighed 7lb 13 oz. Two days later, Anna delivered Avonlea Grace.
“Before, Renee and I never knew if we could have children of our own, but then we had a miraculous outcome and it feels amazing,” Anna expressed. “The labour was complicated, we had a real fear about both of the girls getting here, so now it feels like we are living in a dream.
“It was our doctor’s suggestion that we not to go into labour on the same day, so that we could both be there for each other and hold one another’s hands. We were both able to remember, participate in and are able to say we were there for both of our daughters’ births.”
She added: “One of the favourite parts from my birth was during particularly painful contractions, when Renee pulled up Emma and said, ‘Look here is Emma and why you are doing this’ and that was all I needed.
“I couldn’t be more grateful for having a good doctor that listened, it made a really beautiful outcome for Renee and I, ensuring we were all healthy and safe the whole time.
“We hope our daughters will be really close, they have been sleeping next to one another and are calm when they are together. They listened to both of our voices for their entire lives.
The couple also received criticisms for being pregnant and they didn’t expect that. Even so, they focused on the positive side and well wishes from others. Congratulations!
