Do you remember your wedding vows?
The vows are generally filled with promises, such as that you will stand by each other, and that you will provide care and support no matter what. And it probably ended with the phase, “until death do us apart.”
Jim and Cindy Mininni’s story exemplifies such love.
It all began 24 years ago, when Jim and Cindy met and fell in love with each other.
Soon, they were happily married with a son named Chris.

Eventually, doctors told Jim and his family that he won’t be able to live much longer.point 205 |
Although it’s easy to be let down by such news, the family still encouraged each other through such painful times.point 101 | 1
However, another tragedy hit the family.
As Jim was admitted to a hospital to spend his final days, Cindy had a heart attack. She was taken to another hospital in a different city.
Although Chris tried to get his mother transferred, so that his parents would be in the same hospital, his request was denied.

It seemed like Jim and Cindy were not going to be able to say their last good bye.
Unable to speak because of the tube in his mouth, Jim scribbled something on a piece of paper.
Only one word was written on it – “Mom”.
Touched by Jim, the entire hospital staff tried one last time to get Cindy transferred. Even though Cindy was unconscious due to the treatment, she was finally transferred to the hospital that Jim stayed in.
Quickly, the staff put their beds side-by-side. As Jim slowly faded away, he held the hand of the love of his life.
Even though Cindy was heartbroken at the news of Jim’s death, Chris was able to console her with the photos that he took during their lost moments.
