A husband and wife that have been married for 60 years have gone viral after finding out that they share a special connection they were unaware of for decades.

As 77-year-old Christine and 79-year-old Matt Clarke revealed, they were stunned after discovering they were born next door.
Refusing to believe it was all just a coincidence, the couple thanked “fate” for bringing them together years after they were just neighboring tots.
“It was about ten years ago we found out. We had the birth certificates and I said, ‘We were born next door to each other,’” former trucker and miner, Matt, explained.
To commemorate their 60th wedding anniversary, the couple headed back to the old street in Alva, Clackmannanshire, where they were born.
“We had never given it a thought before. It’s very unlikely — it’s fate. It was nostalgic and emotional looking at the houses,” Matt added.
While he was born at house number 7 in November 1940, Christine followed in June 1942 when she made house number 10 her home.
Following 18 months of their relationship as neighbors, Matt’s family moved away for good. Nevertheless, they were once again brought together 13 years later as destiny took them to a skating rink.
A few years later, on Christine’s 17th birthday, Matt proposed to her while the pair were sharing a train ride.
Nowadays, the lovers are proud (grand)parents of three kids, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
