Staying happily ever after marriage is one of the biggest challenges that every couple has to overcome.
It is not always about living happily ever after; it’s about how you overcome all the hardships of life and grow as a strong couple.
With growing incidents of extramarital affairs and divorces, we often start doubting our own relationships that further weakens it rather than strengthening.
Humans change with the passing time, it depends on your as a couple to evolve together by sticking around each other.
Providing emotional, social, financial, and every possible support at every junction of life is what couples do. One of the major vows that you take on your wedding is that you will be together forever.
You must have seen your grandparents, who might have been married for a long time. Similarly, Raymond and Velva Bruer are among those inspiring and strong couple who have remained in a marriage for 77 long years.
Unlike other couples, death didn’t do them apart, death came to both of them together, and they were even buried in the same coffin. Velva and Raymond were childhood sweethearts, and they completed their school and college together.
They got married in the year 1940. Raymond worked at the Ford Motor Company, Missouri, and moved to North Carolina after retirement.
Raymond, 97, was the first to pass away, holding Velva’s hand. Velva, 96, couldn’t bear the pain as she sobbed to the death of his beloved husband.
Both of them died a few hours apart and were buried in the same coffin. Hours before Raymond passed away, he was seen joking with the medical staff that he and his husband should be buried in the same coffin when they pass away together.
Their deaths have stunned the staff and family members, and all they could say is that their love is eternal.
