The daughters of Judy and Will Webb call their parents’ relationship ‘Big Time Love.
’
After reading their story, you will start believing in fairy tales and true love again.
Judy wrote to Will as a friend while he was stationed with the Army in Korea, and that’s when they realized they’ve fallen in love with each other.
When Will returned, they tied the knot on February 16, 1963, and 56 years of true love followed.
Will and Judy settled and started their family in Michigan. They had three wonderful daughters who now talk about their parents with such love and reverence.
Daughter Lori Thomas told WJBK: “They always had their arms on each other.
“If she was away five minutes, he would say, ‘Where’s mama, have you seen mama?’”
However, routine surgery changed everything for Judy. Things went worse within moments after complications arose.
“She ended up coding from it,” Thomas expressed. “My father watched it and broke.”
Their connection was so strong that Will couldn’t survive without his wife. He was then brought to a different hospital after he collapsed at home.
In their 56 years of togetherness, Judy and Will had never been apart. This could be the reason why, though far from each other, their lives were still in sync.
“She would get a fever from her infection; he would get a fever. Couldn’t figure out where his was coming from because there was no source,” daughter Merybeth Webb said.
“Both ended up unresponsive at the same time, ended up back in the ICU,” Webb continued.
It was evident to everyone that Judy and Will’s bond was more than anyone ever knew.
When their end was near, the daughters knew their parents had to be together before they took their last breaths.
Their beds were pushed together so Judy and Will could hold hands one last time.
Thomas described the time her mother seemed to sense her dad had passed, saying how Judy was ‘rubbing his hand.’ A few hours later, she followed the love of her life.
Daughter Ann Webb-Warren told WJBK: “If you have someone you truly love, you should fight for it.
“They fought for their love every day.”
