Being locked down due to the coronavirus pandemic can be a big bummer if you like going outdoors but just think of it as you being safely indoors.
That being said, despite Netflix and other streaming services, things can quickly become stale just staying at home the whole day.
That’s why people have been cooking up inventive ways to spend time such as online parties and TikTok videos. But one Hungarian couple decided to add their own take on lockdown creativity by recreating some of the most memorable scenes in Hollywood movies and absolutely nailing them.
Fanni and Norbert may not have the same budget and expertise that Hollywood studios have so of course, their reproductions are not as lavish. But the imagination is great at filling in all the gaps and what they have are nostalgic recreations of the movies we’ve all come to love.

“Norbi and I are performers and entertainers. We mostly work with events, so the pandemic has interfered with our plans a lot,” Fanni said. “For example, we are the leaders of an improvisational theatre called Improvokál.”
The couple got inspired by the thought of creating some positivity during these trying times.

“I am a huge movie buff and Norbi loves movies from the ’70s and ’80s, so our love for the craft is what inspired this series. When we were still at university, we loved dressing up whenever we had the chance so thanks to those days, we have had a lot of accessories and costumes.”
Norbert also works as a Red Nose Clown Doctor which involves visiting sick kids in hospitals and cheering them up. Due to social distancing guidelines, he can only do online “visits” for now. That’s why the couple stocked up on supplies that would help him work from home and that had the added benefit of providing what they needed for their quarantine project.

“We mainly choose themes for the series based on which setting we can pull off and which is relatable to the topic of quarantine in general,” Fanni added. “We have been thinking about something like this for quite some time but now we finally have plenty of time to make it happen.”
Fanni said she and Norbert have been doing well despite the quarantine. “Luckily, we have many interesting things to occupy ourselves with, for example, creating online content, sewing facemasks, learning languages, cleaning the house, and just generally planning for the future.
Even though it’s a bit more difficult than usual, we always keep in mind that we have to be flexible in these extreme situations and we have to look for new possibilities. Maintaining our creativity aside, our main goal is to put a smile on people’s faces during these hard times.
