A couple paid the bill for 18 military members in Niagara Falls, New York who went for lunch at the Fuji Grill.
Alyssa Zehler and her fellow Air Force members were having lunch at the Fuji Grill when a couple paid the bill for them.
“We were there from the Niagara Falls AFB base for lunch. We had been together for 5 weeks in a class and were graduating that week so we all wanted to have lunch together” Zehler told Liftable.
They were enjoying their meal when a couple with three children stopped to say ‘Thank You’.
Zehler told that the woman was with her husband, two sons, and her daughter. They thanked them for their service and took a group picture.
The couple then left the restaurant. Little did Zehler and her fellow Air Force members know that the couple had already paid for them.
When they asked for the bill, the restaurant hostess told them that the couple had paid for them and even tipped the servers and chefs.
“It left us speechless. It brought some of us to tears. It was a very heartwarming thing”, Zehler told WGRZ-TV.
Zehler shared a picture of the group on her Facebook with the caption: ‘To the couple that paid for 18 meals at Fuji Grill in Niagara Falls for lunch today, thank you. We are without words, and beyond grateful for your generosity. You brought some of us to tears and it is something we will never forget’ (Credit: Alyssa Zehler/Facebook)
Zehler told Liftable: “[W]e just wanted them to know how grateful we were for their generosity. They wanted to remain anonymous and we completely understand.”
