Hundreds of Indians have gathered at a urine-drinking party in an attempt to prevent the spreading of coronavirus by consuming cow urine.

As a group translated to English as All India Hindu Union believes, drinking cow urine helps shield people from catching the virus.

According to the organizers of the event, they hope to hold similar parties in the future whereas some two hundred people attended the event.

“We have been drinking cow urine for 21 years, we also take bath in cow dung. We have never felt the need to consume English medicine,” one of the attendees, Om Prakash, claimed.

As seen in the photos, people were downing cow urine that was placed in small ceramic and paper cups.

Posing for photos with a cup of cow urine was also the chief of the group which came up with their own depiction of coronavirus.

While the coronavirus outbreak is the reason why the recent urine-drinking party took place, All India Hindu Union has previously promoted cow urine and claimed it may act as a cure for cancer.

Confirming the group’s claims that urine can help ward off coronavirus was also Assam state leader who told the lawmakers that both cow urine and dung have coronavirus-fighting properties.

India has declared Covid-19 as a disaster on Saturday in order to get ready to fight the pandemic and provide assistance on a national level.
