They serve great southern staples, soul-satisfying and comfort food that every family like it. The Cracker Barrel logo has become iconic across numerous states.
And restaurant mostly known for its hospitality and one recent incident proves why people like it so much.
Grandparents love you most after your parents, and they are the best gift from God! They will do anything to serve, protect, love, and spoil their little grandchildren.
If you’ve got young children or grandchildren, you can understand better that how difficult it can be to eat a simple meal in peace, it becomes even more difficult when you are out with a group and have to take care of your child and engaging in a group conversation too.
A Cracker Barrel manager named Doug was checking on his guests during his tiring second shift. While checking through the dining room he noticed something which touched his heartstrings.
An older couple had come into the restaurant with their grandchild. The little baby was all bundled in a coat and hat and he had fallen sound asleep, and the couple was struggling to eat their meal because of the sleeping baby.
They were continuously trying to balance the snoozing toddler on their shoulders.
Doug understood their feeling and tried to help them. So he proceeded to approach the couple politely.
He offered to hold the baby for a while so they can enjoy their meal peacefully. The grateful couple appreciated the offer and they eat their meal in peace.
A fellow Cracker Barrel employee was so touched by his gesture of helping the couple that he captured the moment and posted it to social media.
The picture was posted with this caption: “This is one of the best managers I’ve ever had.
In the midst of our 2nd shift tonight, we had this couple come in with their sleeping grandchild. While Doug was checking on all the tables, he saw they were trying to balance holding him and eating, at the same time. This man proceeded to ask to hold the baby, so they could fully enjoy their meal.
This brought tears! Definitely a wonderful man and great daddy—he has twins! You don’t see such kindness very often, anymore! This is my manager at Cracker Barrel.”
