A ‘cray ex’ was caught on camera crashing a groom’s wedding by running inside the venue in a wedding gown and screaming “it should have been me.
”
The incident occurred at the Ty Newydd Country Hotel in Aberdare, the UK, where Stacey and Keri Owen were shocked to see a strange woman making her way to the stage before screaming and hitting the groom with a flower bouquet.
As it turned out, however, the fake bride wasn’t actually the man’s ex like she pretended. Instead, she was a paid comedian who was hired to make a scene as a part of a prank organized by Jackie Lewis, Stacey’s bridesmaid.
“I managed to persuade Jan to take part, it could have gone drastically wrong. We were planning it for 4-5 months,” Jackie said.
“Stacey expected some sort of surprise and I just wanted to do something silly. I was searching for ideas online when I came across videos of drag queens going down the aisle which gave me this idea.”
As for the bride and groom, they admitted everyone was shocked and horrified at the beginning of the stunt.
“I just thought what is going on as we had just done our first dance. At first the lights were dim and I couldn’t see her face so I just thought it was one of Keri’s nutty exes,” Stacey said.
“But when the lights came up I could see Jan’s face and I knew who she was then. My partner was terrified at first.”

“We did see the funny side, the performance has had everyone talking. Everyone at the wedding was laughing and they were hiding when she was whacking people with the flowers,” Stacey added.
“The whole day was brilliant, my partner was hiding behind me, he just said ‘I hope she doesn’t terrorize me’ as he’d seen her live before as a stand-up comedian.”
