67-year-old David McGreavy was arrested in 1973 after murdering Dawn, 2, Samantha, 9 months, and their brother Paul Ralph, 4. After committing the brutal murders, the ‘Monster of Worcester’ impaled their disfigured bodies on the fence in front of their neighbor’s home.

Despite taking three lives and forever running the life of the children’s mother, 68-year-old Elsie Urry, McGreavy has recently been approved for parole after serving 46 years in prison.

“I feel like killing him if I got hold of him,” Elsie said, explaining that the child killer should never have been released despite the authorities imposing strict conditions and exclusion zones as a part of his parole.

“It gives me a bit of peace of mind but it is still not fair he has been released after what he has done,” Ms. Urry added in an interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester.

“There’s other prisoners that haven’t done half as bad as what he did to my children and they haven’t been put up for parole, so what has made him be able to get (it)?

“They said he was going in for life and then they changed it for (at least) 20 years, but he hasn’t done 60 years. He took three lives, not just one or two; three. And also he’s took my life really.”

Conservative MP for Worcester, Robin Walker, also pleaded with the authorities to keep McGreavy behind bars for good.

“Frankly, I don’t think someone who carried out such crimes should ever be let out. It is a great shame,” he expressed.

“I understand there are a strict curfew and tag conditions and he is banned from Worcester, and the area in Andover where Ms. Urry lives.”

According to the devastated 68-year-old mother of three murdered children, she learned of the news when she received a call from Victim Support.

“I am so angry and upset. I feel terrible. I feel like killing him if I got hold of him,” she said while visibly trembling.

“He should never have been released. I want people to know he is walking about. I was at work when I had the phone call – it was on my mobile.

“The Victim Support person rang to tell me they had released him. They did not tell me where he is staying. All I know is that he is on a tag.”

The upset woman’s neighbor, 72-year-old Irene Williams, also spoke out and claimed that people are “disgusted he has been freed.”

“I am absolutely appalled that the Parole board can ever consider releasing him. I am pretty sure the Parole Board has lost touch with reality,” she said.

“They certainly do not live in the human world because they do not have human feelings or considerations for people in her situation.”
