Sabrina Speaks, a young mother, who has been diagnosed with a severe form of psoriasis has set an example for many.
She, herself, has faced many issues since her diagnosis, but she was able to deal with it as a Gentle Lady.
Sabrina was diagnosed with psoriasis at the age of 12 and since then she has suffered major confidence issues due to the nature of this skin disease.

Her teenage years were so depressing that she has to hide scaly plaques on her skin.
Psoriasis is an immune-mediated disease that causes raised, red, scaly patches to appear on the skin. Psoriasis typically affects the outside of the elbows, knees or scalp, though it can appear on any location. Some people report that psoriasis is itchy, burns and stings.
She is now 23 years old, living in North Carolina with her husband, Daniel. She also has two daughters, and her family has helped her restoring her lost and declining confidence.
Sabrina has recently decided to educate people and raise awareness of this skin condition.
In an interview with Barcroft TV, she told: “Psoriasis has affected my entire life. And I want to make more people aware of that”.Sabrina is also suffering from psoriasis arthritis and has to face side effects such as pain, swelling, burning, itching, fatigue, depression, and even anxiety. Moreover, her case in one of the worst cases of psoriasis, as her 90 percent of the body is covered by plagues.
She told, “I’m unable to be the person I want to be. I want to be running around with my children and doing things in the world without getting stared at, or without feeling pain.
“Unfortunately, I just can’t.”
Due to the severity of her condition, during her childhood, it was really hard for her to make friends, even she faced bullying too.
However, after her marriage, she had two daughters, Sophia, and Madison, which somehow helped her to regain her happiness and confidence about her skin and life.
Unfortunately, there is no treatment available for psoriasis, but Sabrina is getting supportive therapy to help alleviate the severity of this condition.
Her husband, Daniel, thinks of her as a loving wife and mother, who has a heart of gold. Daniel added, “When we first met, she told me about her condition. I was just like ‘you’re a really nice person and I want to get to you know you better’ – I didn’t mind it. We clicked right away.
“I try to take good care of her when she’s sick. She struggles a lot sometimes, I do want to make sure I’m there for her.”
Sabrina is now planning to raise awareness of this condition, to make the community feel better about this condition.
