Here is a video that you will find exceptionally surprising.

Humans have a tendency to greet one another whenever they meet hello.

We even do the same with animals at times out of the tendency but have you ever seen an animal or a bird doing the same? You probably haven’t and even if you have, I am sure you would have never seen a wild crow doing it.

In a heart-touching video recorded at a bird feeder, we can see a wild crow coming and greeting a squirrel by saying hello. The crow did not say it just once but twice.

What more? The crow did not say it out of practice but it understands that the word ‘Hello’ is a greeting.

Flashback to 2011. A nest with 5 crow babies fell down a tree and the people decided to take them to Dr. Kristy Hiltz, as the parents of the babies did not return and they were too young to take care of themselves.

Kristy was known to treat any species of animals and birds and so she took the babies under her care. She and her family made sure to give them the right care, which means feeding all night long, listening to their scratchy cries, and cleaning, a lot of cleaning.

It was summers and Kristy along with her husband took care of the babies for 2 weeks after which they were able to fly and used to go out on the trees in the neighborhood and come back for the morning breakfast.

Kristy and her husband taught the babies how to find worms and how to take berries from the trees. Along with it, they also taught them how to say hello. Out of the 5, only 4 could survive.

Coming back to 2018, the 4 crows had gone away but they came back as the neighbors discovered speaking crows and quickly identified they were the same babies.

One day Kristy’s husband placed his GoPro at the feeder and when he checked the recording they found out the crow who came to the feeder and greeted the squirrel saying hello.

Kristy was happy to find that the crows remember their human family and what they had learned with them.
