The world is full of broken and insecure people who love to troll and bring other people down by preying on their insecurities.
With the advent of the internet and, especially, the social media channels, trolling someone has become easier than ever—all you have to do is just write a single cruel comment.
This is what happened with the Podcaster and Instagrammer, Jenna Kutcher when she received a hateful message from someone.
The person ‘couldn’t believe’ Jenna, despite being curvy, had landed herself such hot husband. That’s enough to ruin one’s mood for days but Jenna decided to turn this troll into an inspiring body positivity message by sharing her marriage life experience.
Jenna has been happily married to Drew for about 11 years. Ever since they have met, the couple is deeply in love with each other.
Jenna is an online marketing expert, photographer, and blogger while Drew is a fitness and health coach, and above all- a loving husband.
Jenna admits that Drew’s exceptionally honed physique does play in her mind whenever she sees herself in the mirror.
“Part of my insecurity with my body has stemmed around being married to Mr. 6-Pack himself. Why should I, a curvy girl get him? She said. “I feel unworthy and when I write narratives in my head that because I am not thin, I don’t deserve him.”
Sadly, the hater ruthlessly exploited her weakness and body shamed her. “I’ll be honest that I was taken aback,” she said.
But, instead of losing her senses over the troll, Jenna decided to spread a motivating message of how love is more important than the thickness of the skin in true and meaningful relationships.
“This man has embraced every curve, every dimple, pound and pimple for the last ten years and has always me reminded me that I’m beautiful even when my inner dialogue doesn’t match,” Jenna said.
“So yes, my thighs kiss, my arms are big, and my bum is bumpy but there is just more of me for him to love and I chose the man that could handle all that (and so much more!).”
“I am so much more than my body, so is he, and so are you. Double tap if true love doesn’t see size.”
Her positive message has since gone viral and has inspired thousands of people across the globe.
Even in this modern age, society still hangs up when couple with different physiques are seen together, especially when the woman is heavier.
We may credit it to jealousy, ignorance, or the image of body ideals created by media, but the important thing is, this behavior should be condemned on all levels.
As one of the commenters beautifully put it: “Let us also take a moment to acknowledge how backwards it is that our world thinks that she is “too fat” to be with him. When did a lovely curvy woman, who is clearly of average size, become a symbol of someone unlovable?! It’s crazy! Love is love is love.”
