It is a fact that as you grow old, the companions and friends you have starts to get lesser and lesser in number and the physical activities you were able to do earlier is now not an option for you.
It takes a while to realize it but with the age, the knees, as well as the entire body of a person, starts to give up and people become incapable of getting indulged in physical activity.
Ole Kassow, in Denmark, saw how this physical inactiveness was affecting the elderly and they were not ready to let this happen.
With the elderly people, they are most often left in the care by their children and even if they live on their own, it becomes a real big task to find a company or to get involved in an activity.
It is not just that they do not have enough opportunity, but they also do not have enough capacity for physical activity.
So Ole Kassow, in Denmark realized this and planned on doing something for the elderly. They came up with a solution that included tricycles. Yes, this may sound bizarre to you but to them this was the perfect solution.
What is a better place to get relieved than being in nature?
The organization realized it and that is when they came up with the idea of giving free rides to the elderly on tricycles. The same started with a small initiative and then it all turned into a major campaign.
At first, the campaign was limited to Denmark but now there are about 38 countries following the same. It is true that each country values their youth generations the most the life of the senior citizens are valued as well.
Not just the oldies from around the world, many volunteers who are now a part of the campaign started from giving the rides to their parents and are now helping many senior citizens to have a better life.
