New Petition FORCES Cyclists To ‘Pay Road Tax’ When Riding On Public Roads


More and more calls for the new petition that suggests how cyclists should be forced to pay road tax and hold insurance while using public roads in Britain has now sparked outrage.

The decision was just announced late last month, turning heads of citizens’ across the board.

According to this new Highway Code, cyclists and pedestrians will bear new taxes and will now need to hold insurance too. Therefore, once these changes are implemented, both these parties can benefit from a greater priority over vehicles present at both junctions as well as crossings.

Under this new code, cyclists will always be given priority to move at junctions as they travel in a straight road ahead. On the other hand, there will be a hierarchy of road users that will ensure that risky methods for transport are kept accountable for reducing danger, as reported by the RAC.

This new announcement is a part of the Government’s mega 338 million initiative that assists active travel during the pandemic.

But if you think people are happy about all these changes, you just might need to think again. Many have gone about expressing their great concerns over how both cyclists and pedestrians could end up taking huge risks like when motorists make left turns or even when they wish to cross too.
