It is true that men lack certain parts of the anatomy that prevents them from bearing a child and breastfeed.
But this hasn’t stopped Maxamillian Neubauer from taking on the challenge.
No, no, he didn’t succeed in producing milk, men don’t have mammary glands. But he did the next big thing that may inspire other men as well – he wore fake nipples.
April Neubauer, Maxamillian wife was unable to breastfeed her child after giving birth. There were some complications after the birth of her child that the doctors requested her not to.
She was heartbroken; she wanted to breastfeed her baby. Seeing April in distress, the nurses at the hospital offered a solution that included using a supplementary nursing system.
A supplementary nursing system is a feeding tube device used for breastfeeding assistance.
This feeding tube device is used to assist mothers who struggle to breastfeed while maintaining the closeness of their baby by doing skin-to-skin contact. This helps the mothers to feel close to their babies.
Maxamillian shared photos of his breasting experience on his Facebook page. He wrote that it was a c-section, so there were some complications in his child’s birth that led him to don fake nipples and feed his child.
He is hoping that his actions will make others think and might inspire other dads to be open to breastfeeding.
