A man from Birmingham has built an ‘absolutely brilliant’ outdoor bar in his daughter’s lawn without spending a penny.
Taking to Facebook, Jodi Jones explained how her dad used his DIY skills to build the wooden bar using scrap material and spare fence panels.
“This project didn’t cost a penny apart from the nails and screws, the rest was odd bits we’ve had stored for a while,” Jodi wrote as she shared the stunning craftwork pics to a Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains.
The creative man just took a week to transform the fragments of junk and disused wooden panels into a lovely and small bar.
He even included impressive details like signposts, shelves for the liquor, and fairy lights hanging at the wall to give a historic theme to the bar.
The painted fence and decked walls also added to the beauty of the small shack.
“Took my dad just over a week to build this, and it still hasn’t finished, still needs a tray for side and beer pulls, which were working on,” the Brit added.
Jodi also shared before-and-after pictures, demonstrating the whole project in its different phases.
Responding to where her dad got the disused material, Jodi said: “We got them from an industrial estate opposite us. They let my dad take as many as he needed, and old fence panels!”
Her post went viral in a few minutes and notched up thousands of likes and comments, with netizens admiring the artistic skills of his dad.
The social media users were stunned at how Jodi’s dad managed to create such a beautiful bar all by himself without spending any money.
“Absolute brilliant this is! What a clever man your dad is!” wrote one admirer.
Another commented: “Fantastic well done to him.” One person wrote: “Wow that’s amazing what’s yours dads name should name your bar after him!”
Someone joked, suggesting: “Yes please, a gate though to stop all children entering!”
