Parents sacrifice so much to give us what we need.
From our own experience, we all know that parents would do literally anything for their child.
Lee Chester is one of those great fathers who did not think twice when it came to saving his own child.
When his 3-year-old daughter, Esme, went to the doctors because of a cough, Lee found out that his daughter was experiencing end stage kidney failure.
Both Lee and Rachel, his wife, could not believe what was happening.
Their beautiful daughter was dying.

Even though Esme was brave and never stopped being positive throughout dialysis treatments, the parents did not know if she would be ok.
Unfortunately, Esme’s condition got even worse.
As Lee recalls, “Things changed overnight. Her kidney failure was end stage- the worst it could get.”
She had to be placed on a regiment of twelve hour dialysis treatments every single day for fourteen months.
When her doctor suggested applying for kidney donation, Lee and Rachel also had themselves tested as potential organ donors.
Thankfully, both parents were positive. However, because Lee was a better match, they decided to go ahead and use Lee’s kidney.

Bad things weren’t over, though.
After scheduling the transplant, Esme suffered a debilitating stroke, which delayed the transplant. She was in intensive care for months, and even had to relearn how to eat and walk.
Finally, both Esme and Lee were cleared for the transplant surgery – it was just a matter of recovery.
And now, just look at how healthy and happy Esme is!
