When it comes to parenting, every mom and dad have got different tricks to handle their kids. But this dad has probably got the best one up his sleeve.
A hilarious clip of the father-of-two making his kids stop crying has gone viral for all the right reasons.
In the clip, two little girls, aged three and six, can be seen throwing hysterical tantrums.
Calming them down seems a pretty impossible thing, but as soon as their dad uses his special trick, both of them stop crying and whining.
When the crying girls approach their dad, he tells them to just stop for a moment.
As soon as they do so, the man says that now it is his turn to cry, not theirs. The next moment, he starts crying in an even louder tone than that of his daughters.
He then stops, telling the three-year-old to cry as it was her turn now.
The little girl obeys her dad and stops after a couple of seconds. The man then tells the elder girl to cry and stops her after a few seconds to take his own turn.
This cycle continues and the daughters soon forget what they were crying for.
The moment was captured on camera by the dad himself while he was on a holiday with his family in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Speaking of his brilliant tactic, the man said: “I found this trick with one of my daughters a long time ago. It works every time and we get rid of the tantrums.”
Throwing tantrums is a normal part of a child’s life. It is their way of showing frustration or anger.
Tantrums usually happen when kids are hungry, uncomfortable, or tired, or when they can’t get something they want – such as a particular toy, or even the attention of one of their parents.
Children throw tantrums when their language skills are not developed and they can’t express what they want to say.
As their language skills get improved, their frequency of throwing tantrums decreases.
