A prankster dad convinced his son they were going to Disneyland as it was his boy’s dream to go there.
But he took him to Poundland instead in a ‘savage’ April Fool’s prank.
Joe Heenan from Glasgow even made the schoolboy haul a suitcase to the £1 bargain store, sharing a photo of his devastated face on social media.
“I told him we were going on holiday to a place ending with land,” Joe captioned the photo showing his son’s sad face when he realized it was a prank.
“He was like oh my god! Is it Disneyland? He was so excited. Hahahahaha.”
His story quickly went viral with over 2,000 likes on Twitter. But his prank has had a mixed response, with many people saying the boy should get his Disneyland trip.
“That’s actually sad. Should take him to Disneyland to make up for it,” Rosie Green wrote.
“Well ya going to have to take him to Disneyland now. Ya can’t pull something like that and not have a backup card,” another commented.
“Bad daddy. Bad daddy. Disneyland you need to send this boy some free tickets, but make his dad wait in the parking lot,” Chris Greeley wrote.
Other Twitter users enjoyed the prank and applauded the father’s effort. “OMFG hilarious. Well since they are there, a £1 bag of sweeties…go on youngun fill ya boots, or should I say case LOL,” Jilly Bowling wrote.
“Haha you’re a belter. Great April Fool’s,” another wrote.
