A creative father has shared how he managed to transform his living room into an amazing playroom for his son.
He took to the Facebook page DIY On A Budget and posted before and after photos of his incredible work.
His before pictures show the living room that seemed to be a spare bedroom with floral wallpaper and dated curtains.
The room became unrecognizable with rainbow colors and fresh white paint breathing new life into the area.
The floor was covered with colorful foam squares and the father painted his child’s name ‘Oakley’ onto the wall.
In addition, the room also features a green slide that leads into a ball pit, an abacus and a white wooden climbing frame.
“Converted front room from a bedroom for my little boy to give him his very own play/ sensory room for Christmas,” he wrote.
His post gained more than 9,000 likes and thousands of comments from Facebook members. One commented: “Amazing! So wish I had space for this! Well done!”
Another wrote: “Omg, that is amazing, what a lucky little boy, enjoy wee man.”
A third added: “That’s fantastic. Well done!”
Another man transformed his girlfriend’s bedroom in just four hours.
Linzy Boyd shared before and after pictures, showing how her bedroom transformed from plain and white to a heart-fluttering grey retreat with lights.
“My Christmas present! Boyfriend bought everything and transformed my bedroom all by himself in the space of four hours!” she wrote on Facebook.
“Still wee bits and pieces to get but I totally love it.”
