A six-year-old Chinese girl has left the internet stunned after her story appeared online.
The little girl’s ordeal started when her 39-year-old father, Tian Haicheng, met a terrible accident while he was on his way to receive his paycheck.
Tian’s car flipped, leaving him paralyzed with a broken neck.
But he discovered the real intensity of the disaster when the doctors told him that he was permanently incapacitated to move his head, neck and most of his arms. This was, however, not the end of his sufferings.
Just a while after the accident, Tian’s wife went on a short trip to her home town with the couple’s 10-year-old son.
Although she went for a short trip, the visit kept dragging on until it was clear that she had no intentions of coming back to her family.
It was hardly possible for Tian’s parents, who were in their sixties, to take care of him. His father also had to work at his farm to raise money for the family and his mother had cataracts.
Tian was left with only one person to help him, his little daughter, Tian Jiajia.
Aged just four at the time, the little girl stepped in to take care of her dad after discovering his plan to commit suicide by drinking pesticide.
The little girl noticed how the old couple took care of her father before taking over their duties.
“It’s because of my daughter that I’m still alive,” Tian said.
According to Daily Mail, she gets up at 6am in the morning to massage her paralyzed father’s affected muscles. Then she uses a lift to help him leave the bed and move to the wheelchair before brushing his teeth.
Tian’s father engineered the lift with supplies he bought from a local hardware provider but it was never intended to be used by someone as little as Jiajia.
To get Tian out of the bed and into the wheelchair, she has to climb up and down the bed many times. Such a task obviously calls for some delicate balancing to avoid tipping over and getting hurt.
However, the most awesome thing about the little girl is that she has an amazing attitude about everything she does for her dad.
“At the beginning, I didn’t know how to shave, and I cut dad’s face, and it bled,” she said. “But dad said it wasn’t painful.”
“Now, I’m very good at shaving his beard. My grandmother says I shave it very clean.” The little girl does not miss her mother because “she doesn’t look after dad.”
As if it’s not enough, Jiajia also raises funds for her family.
She uses Chinese social media app Kuaishou to share videos of herself caring for her dad, and raises over 4000 Yuan (or $600) each month by donations.
