A mother was left furious after a daycare worker left a rude reminder on a toddler’s stomach using a green marker.
23-year-old Heather Chisum failed to see a reminder about bringing more clean diapers that her son Milo’s daycare in Florida leaves in his lunchbox every day.
While changing Milo’s diaper, she found out that a daycare worker at the Children’s Education Center of the Islands had left a reminder on a toddler’s stomach using a green marker that read: “Mom I’m out of diapers, pls read my report.”
The mother claimed that even after scrubbing it with baby wipes, the message didn’t wash away.
The furious mother wrote on Facebook: “I guess yesterday they wrote on his report that he needs diapers, and I failed to see that.
I’m a single mom with a full time job and two very young children.”
“SUE ME FOR NOT READING THE REPORT EVERY SINGLE DAY.”
The mother also said that even if she sees several teachers at the Children’s Education Center of the Islands no one told her that her son needed more clean diapers when she drops off or picks up her son.
Instead, they left a reminder on the toddler’s stomach using a green marker.
The mother also claimed that this is not the first time they have left a note on her son’s body.
She said that a similar incident happened several months ago.
After the mother’s post went viral, the school apologized for the incident and fired the daycare worker who left the rude reminder on the toddler’s stomach.
The Children’s Education Center of the Islands said in a statement: “We are aware of the incident at the school, and we are terribly sorry for the distress it has caused the family involved as well as all of our families.”
“The school has taken immediate action to remove the teacher from the school.
We are reviewing the protocols already in place to ensure that nothing like this occurs again.”
Despite this, the mother has pulled both her children from the center after the incident.
