Uganda’s government is ready with its plan to launch a bill that will have the death penalty for all kinds of homosexual activities.
This also means that anyone who is homosexual will be sentenced to the death penalty.
In a world that is turning modern each day, with cultures turning global and minds turning more and more rational, there still prevails a society that lives with stereotypical belief and preaches taboos like child marriages, homosexuality, women standing up for their rights, etc.
While there is a side to the world where humans are reaching to moon and Mars, there is another side to the world where homosexuality is being considered illegal and the punishment for it will be death.
In a shocking announcement made by the Uganda government, the body is planning to legalize a new law stating anyone found indulged in a homosexuality act or is considered to be a homosexual person will be sentenced with the death penalty.
Being gay is already illegal as the say of law in Uganda and now they are all set to legalize another law in the same direction. In the mater, a government official says, “this law is being implemented because homosexuality is unnatural to the land of Uganda.”
The bill that is named ‘Kill the Gays’ came out 5 years back but was put on hold because of a few technicality issues. Following this, gays will be hanged to death as it is the only legal method of execution of civilians in Uganda.
Simon Lokodo, the Ethics and Integrity Minister of the country said, “Homosexuality is not native to the country but somehow there is a growing number of occupancy in school, collages and amongst the youth of the nation of homosexuals.”
“Although our legal system states it as a crime, there is no major punishment for the same and by implementing the law we are giving a clear message that we do not wish to have a spread of this false sexuality myth in the country.”
