Debbie Rose Reilly, the general manager, said that the weird concoction is not on the menu but they can make the frice-cream on request.
Debbie who is from Uddingston, South Lanarkshire said that the frice-cream tastes similar to an ice doughnut. She revealed that customers really like the idea.
Debbie also told that one day, her husband Chris who is a fryer, was bored, and came up with this.
She revealed that it is simply a Monton’s roll with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle, covered with batter and then fried. Because the joint does not have other ice cream flavors, they only put vanilla ice cream.
But how does the team brings together hot and cold combination together? Well, they just stuff a bread roll with one scoop of vanilla ice cream and then deep-fry it. While it might sound like a bizarre concept, it actually seems to be quite nice.
The boat was created by Debbie’s dad, John McMonagle, who began the business twenty-seven years ago.
The innovative joint also sells frickles or fried pickles apart from frice-cream, and their sail-thru option lets their customers pick up a chippy without getting out of their boats.
Debbie noted that their business is owned by her mother and father but is now run by her and Chris on a regular basis.
Debbie also said that they built windows on the waterside of their boat, as they noticed that a canal was opened, and by doing so, they serve the boats with fish and chips.
