The bank is enclosed in a sugar solution so that they can drink it. In this way, they are prevented from being exhausted and dying.
This card is invented by a foundation named Bee Saviour Behavior (BSB). According to BSB the bees can be protected and prevented by using this card. This card is actually a first aid kit to bees. It can be used by people to prevent the bees from dying and being exhausted.
It was discovered that the bees do not hold a much amount of energy as they have a high rate of metabolism so that’s why their energy level goes down. As said by the founder of the Bee Saviour Behaviour (BSB) founder named Dan Harris.
Dan Harris is a fine art graduate and says that we see many exhausted bees around us and it gets tough to take out a spoon of sugar with us and nobody takes that while going out. So what he did was he took repurposed cards from banks and made a carrier sugar solution. He used those cards that have undergone rebranding.
He says that this practice is very common in gardens where bees go exhausted and are also common in our country. Dan says that it not the case that we do not come across any exhausted bees but we do see them on streets and nobody helps them. He has started a funding campaign with the name of saving the bees and he is aiming to collect funds of 8,000 pounds so that he can manufacture the card by buying the necessary tools.
He decided to start this scheme when it was reported that the number of bees in the UK has dropped by a third. Bees are also falling in a disorder and that is Colony Collapse disorder in which bees the worker bees have to leave the queen bee and they themselves leave the hive.
Dan says that the card contains sugary solutions and has holes in it and all you have to do is to peel the card and place next to the bee so that he can drink the solution. The sugary solution will give him hydration as it is made up of fondant sugar. Thus the bee will survive.
