Blake Ward, 16, from Dudley was one of the three teenagers from the same family pulled out of the sea in Tywyn, Gwynedd, in north-west Wales.
The three teenagers had encountered difficulties while swimming in the sea and had to be rescued by the emergency services.
Ward was airlifted to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, but the doctors said that it was too late and nothing could be done to save his life.
Days later after he was admitted to the hospital, his family was given the most heartbreaking news. Ward’s family was informed that he had suffered brain damage and it is impossible to recover from that.
The doctors had given the most heartbreaking order to turn off Ward’s life support machine.
His family was not the only one who was in immense pain but Ward’s girlfriend, Stephanie Ray was so heartbroken that she was pictured cuddling her boyfriend in his deathbed at the hospital before the life support was turned off.
She shared an intensely emotional image on her Facebook wall along with the most heart-melting message. The 15-year-old spoke about how she stayed by her boyfriend’s side during the tragic ordeal.
She said that Blake wasn’t in any pain when he departed and he had his loved ones by his side. He will be missed forever and will always be remembered.
