The deleted scene which came after the death of Ironman in the movie has Katherine Langford (Yes, Hannah Baker from 13 Reasons Why), as Morgan – the daughter of Pepper Potts and Tony Stark.

After his heroic death in the process of obliterating Thanos and the evil related to him, Tony Stark was taken to the metaphysical world, beyond the universe.

It is the same place where Thanos teleported half the universe’s population after he snapped his fingers to annihilate them.

Due to the impressively unusual set of powers packed in the Infinity Stones, Tony Stark possesses the ability needed to meet a future version of his daughter in the metaphysical world.

In the meeting, Morgan tells her father that she’ll take the best care of herself despite his absence in her life.

She tells her dad: “I’m happy that we had the time that we did, and that you were there for me…until you couldn’t be.” Ironman replies: “If you’re happy, I’m happy.”

In the emotional dialogue that follows, Morgan explains to her father how much does she love him, saying: “I love you, 3000.”

If you are looking for the reason because of which this intensely emotional scene was not a part of the movie, directors Joe and Anthony Russo explained it in the directors’ commentary.

The directors said that it would have felt similar to the next scene where Tony delivers his own eulogy. They added that the fans would also have no emotional connection with grown-up Morgan.

Explaining his stance on the scene, Tony Russo said: “Because this adult version of Morgan, his daughter, was never in the film, as we would watch it in post we started to feel like we didn’t have a lot of emotional connection, even though this is a wonderful actor, to the character because we’d never seen her before.”

The silver lining is that this deleted scene might hint an upcoming appearance of Morgan in the future movies of the franchise.
