A driver from Amazon was caught on camera physically assaulting a 67-year-old woman in regards to a delivery dispute in California.
According to local media outlets, the 21-year-old Amazon driver was reportedly arrested at the crime scene when he savagely assaulted the elderly customer on Thursday. Authorities confirmed the exact location of the incident to be in California’s Castro Valley.
On the other hand, investigations into the case identified the accused attacker as 21-year-old Itzel Ramirez who first engaged in the heated exchange of words, alongside the victim who remains to be unnamed.
Soon, shocking footage captured him unleashing the most horrifying array of punches that were directly aimed at the elderly female citizen. The punches reportedly struck the victim in the back of her head as well as her face.
The vicious encounter was soon caught on camera from various angles, causing anger and fury across the board.
Surprisingly, the driver even had the courage to call the woman out before the attack for using her ‘white privileges,’ as reported by FOX2 recently.
Moreover, police officers claim that the victim may have also called the driver a b*tch, right before the entire argument turned into a physical altercation. Still, authorities believe that physical assault of this nature was unbelievable and unacceptable, no matter what the reason was.
Alameda County Sheriff’s Department recently released a public statement too where they announced how the victim has suffered from severe injuries that included a broken nose, alongside many more physical injuries seen across her body.
One resident from the Vista Creek Apartments, who happened to be present when the attack took place, explained his shock and horror at witnessing the incident in front of his eyes.
“It was so frightening to witness a driver from Amazon do something like that to somebody that we allow on to our property to help in providing us with services,” he explained.
The landlord also explained to media reporters how the victim was too taken aback by the incident and hence just couldn’t find the courage to speak to the media at that particular moment in time.
