A FedEx driver has opened up about his deliveries amid the pandemic and revealed how he now takes his beloved doggies with him on deliveries because their daycare got closed.
As Daniel Nava explained in an interview with The Dodo, he is fortunate to have an understanding supervisor who lets him bring Cocoa and Chorizo in his delivery van.
“The decision to bring them with me on deliveries was not easy but my supervisor is very understanding. Also I had brought them with me before with no safety issues — I have them on a harness that is anchored down to my seat while we drive,” Mr. Nava said in an interview with The Dodo.
As he went on to say, all his worries disappeared after seeing how well-behaved his doggies are during the deliveries.
To prove that they are a part of the team, Nava had also made them personalized FedEx outfits and equipped them with dog sunglasses to protect their eyes from sun during long rides.
“They seem to enjoy their time on the route — sometimes we stop by at the local neighborhood parks and I let them run around for a little bit,” the driver told The Dodo.
“We also deliver to the Del Mar Highlands Town Center … and the workers there love seeing them.”
As the proud sausage dog owner explained, he will continue bringing Cocoa and Chorizo with him at work until the lockdown is over and the daycare they were visiting reopens.
