An Uber Eats deliveryman was pictured placing a food bag on the floor of the cubicle while sitting down on the toilet bowl presumably to drop off his load.

The photo went viral on Facebook, whereas the delivery bag is seen placed right in front of the man who’s sitting on the toilet bowl.

While it is not clear who the rider in question is and whether there was any food in the bag at the time of the incident, social media users were quick to slam the deliveryman and call his actions “disgusting” and “totally inappropriate.”

“That’s just disgusting someone could get sick from placing the food bag on the floor full of germs,” someone wrote.

“I know it’s not the company’s fault but this guy should get sacked immediately,” another one suggested.

66-year-old Marion and 76-year-old Peter Archibald were waiting for their Uber ride home after winning a Christmas ham during a raffle in Melbourne, Sydney.

After the driver finally showed up, however, the couple were stunned when he told them he didn’t want to give them a ride because ham goes against his religious beliefs.

As the couple explained, they were not only refused service but also charged a cancellation fee.

“[He said] Oh no, what’s that … he said he was Muslim. He said we couldn’t get in … I thought he was kidding,” Marion revealed in an interview with The Leader.

“He shouldn’t have left us there … he could have at least called someone else for us. There will be plenty of people carrying hams in Uber rides this Christmas. We’ve all got different beliefs but this is ridiculous.”

As Mrs. Archibald went on to claim, her complaints to the company went by unattended whereas no one apologized to her or issued a refund for the ride they never received, prompting the couple to vow to never use Uber again.

Following the incident, Daily Mail Australia reached out to Uber who responded with a generic message saying: “Our 24/7 support team is available to look into these issues and help resolve them.”
