Several post drivers have gone viral after they began sharing pictures of themselves cuddling with dogs that they meet during their working hours.

While some deliverymen hate having to deal with dogs when they are at work, Daniel Kidd is an animal lover that simply can’t resist befriending pooches even when he’s at work.

“I’m an animal lover,” Kidd told The Dodo.

“If I can pet a dog, and make him feel good, I will.

“It feels good to know that they appreciate you coming. They’re just looking for affection, too, that’s all.

“There are two dogs I’ve known since they were puppies: Willie and Millie. They don’t allow FedEx to come around. They don’t allow anyone to deliver to the house but me.”

John Danforth, an owner of a dog that is on Mr. Kidd’s route, said:

“My dogs know the sound of his truck. When he comes to my place, they perk up and go running towards the road to greet him and bark!!

“Even on days I don’t get a delivery, they’ll hear the sound of his truck going by and, boy, they perk up and run to see as he passes by.”

To share the joy he gets from cuddling with puppies, the UPS deliveryman has begun sharing the pictures he takes on his route with the rest of us.

As it happens, cuddling with dogs has become such a trend that various Facebook sites such as UPS Dogs serve as a place dedicated to displaying and sharing sweet images taken by post drivers.

“UPS drivers deliver packages all day long,” UPS Dogs description reads. “During each day, drivers encounter many dogs, most friendly and some not so nice. When time permits, drivers snap a photo and send it into UPS Dogs.”
