Democrat Famed For Opposing ‘Defund The Police’ Movement WINS NYC Mayor Nomination


Eric Adams, the 60-year-old former Police Captain who gained immense fame after opposing the ‘Defund the Police’ movement has officially won the primary in the race for New York City’s Mayor.

Adams who is also the President for the Brooklyn Borough reportedly won many hearts after he appealed at the political center recently, promising to get the balance right between both fighting crime and injustice as well as putting an end to racism in policing.

If elected as New York City’s mayor, Adams will be the city’s second Black mayor candidate, confirmed local media outlets.

Shockingly, one of the early favorites for the race, former US Presidential Candidate for 2020, Andrew Yang, failed to end the race on a high as he faded somewhere in between despite starting off strong. Yang gained great support after he introduced a universal basic income plan.
