Unlike his friend Quentin Tarantino, the director of his latest film, DiCaprio says he wants to grace the big screen as long as he can.

“It’s a good question. I don’t know,” the Titanic star said in response when asked about his retirement plan at the movie premiere held in Los Angeles.

Tarantino, however, doesn’t think the same.

The director, who has made 9 films by now, told PEOPLE that he planned to say goodbye to the entertainment world after making 10 movies.

At the premiere, DiCaprio also threw light on his latest release in which he played the role of a once-popular TV star, Rick Dalton, struggling to stay in the spotlight.

When asked if DiCaprio was prepared for the highs and lows he might face in his career in the future, the 44-year-old replied: “I know there’s ebbs and flows in everybody’s career.”

“Sometimes you’re a little hotter, sometimes you’re not. Sometimes you may not be hot at all, but if you love what you do, you gotta just keep doing it,” he added.

Lenny D has appeared with Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie in Tarantino’s latest film.

Brad Pitt played Cliff Booth, DiCaprio’s closest friend and stunt double, in the movie.

Though both the megastars were working together for the first time, they displayed amazing coordination and solidarity with each other.

“He’s not only made great choices as an actor, not only is he extremely talented, but he’s incredibly easy to work with,” DiCaprio said of co-star Brad.

“And that’s the dynamic that I think both of us needed in this film.

“We needed to have guys that implicitly knew this town, knew this industry and knew this type of relationship, of guys that are professional, but then they kind of become family.”
