We are back with another riddle! This time, it has to deal with numbers and the missing number in between.
In the riddle it shows that the pattern goes like this: 16, 06, 68, 88, ? , and 98. Can you figure out what is missing in the question mark, or do you need a little bit more time to get your gears grinding?
We are here with a hint– this time, think outside of the box. The answer is included in the riddle, the question is, are you able to spot it? We understand if you can not figure it out yet, since it took us a while to get it as well. Tag your friends and see if they will be able to get it, maybe even ask for help! Here is another hint: flip the numbers. That will help you with the sequence. For example, if 16 is flipped upside down, it gives us a 91.
That is the first number in the sequence. If you keep going, 06 is 90. So the sequence goes, 91, 90. Do you see the pattern now? If not, stick around to see what the final answer is. Fortunately, the pattern is descending in the riddle!
Stated in the picture, the question mark is 78.
68 upside down is 89, and 88 upside down is 88, of course. If that’s the case, then 87 would be the number flipped, so 87 flipped upside down is 78. It is consistent because 98 upside down is 86, which completes the descending order. Starting off with the first number is 91, 90, 89, 88, 87, and 86 as the last number.
