A lady who used to serve food at Mascoma Valley Regional High School, New Hampshire in the United States was fired because she served food to a student.
The student did not have eight dollars to purchase dinner but he promised the lady that he will pay her afterward. The district manager of the concerned cafe services noted the matter because he was there for an inspection and the next day lady was fired.
Mrs. Kimbell, the lady who used to serve food told that the contract between the school and cafe was going to end and the student had no money to purchase food, and my manager told me not to alter the contract thus I simply told the student that inform your parents about it.

However, the cafe’s resource manager showed sympathy with Kimbell that a student in such cases must receive lunch such students get lunch and are given various items such as sandwich, milk, and fruits. He added that all employees sign a contract with the company and it is not permissible to change or alter the contract.
In case they do not follow the rules, then strict actions are taken against them. Mrs. Kimbell said that she was supported by the officials of cafe and it was not the mistake of the manager. Whereas, the superintendent call is a tough decision and a protest is being started by two staff members of catering.
