The relationship between dogs and humans has certainly gone a long way which is not surprising since it’s a bond that was forged thousands of years ago.

From hunting companions and homestead protectors, dogs have evolved in how they fit into the human household.

Make no mistake, they are just as ferocious and loyal when it comes to the well-being of their owners. And support dogs and police dogs have made invaluable contributions in their fields. But dogs have become so domesticated that some of them are even called “toy” dogs. Definitely a far cry from the dog that used to hunt prey along with humans!

Dogs are more akin to family members than just pets and as such, some owners just love to prank them to see their hilarious reactions.

This dog owner decided to do the disappearing prank. It’s an old trick that has confounded countless cats and dogs ever since it first became viral. But that doesn’t mean it’s less effective when performed in front of a dog that has never encountered it before.

In this case, the dog in question is a Husky named Roxy. She sits attentively in front of her owner who is holding a blanket while standing in the doorway. He raises the blanket and drops it and he’s gone!

A confounded Roxy sits up and eventually rushes to where the rumpled blanket is lying on the floor, looking here and there, trying to determine where her beloved human went. Her reaction is so funny that the person behind the camera couldn’t help but laugh.

But beneath that hilarious reaction, we can see just how devoted Roxy is to her owners because she’s immediately concerned when one of them seemingly disappears.

A lot of people have commented that dogs are the little angels that we don’t deserve and with the way some people abuse these lovable animals, it seems to make such a saying truer. Luckily, there are enough compassionate humans out there who continue to foster that love that was first ignited among our ancestors.
