Disney Fans Are In SHOCK After Discovering Violence In Famous Movie ‘Hercules’


Viewers are recently discovering that the Disney’s animation of Hercules, 1997, has revealed a scene that shows a very dark depiction of the movie.

This puts the movie under the fire, testing waters that have been looked over before.

The movie has their unique take on Greek mythology, it has become a classic for Disney. Megara had started to fall for the hero, Hercules, and had to give herself a reality check after she realized that she was having feelings for him.

Megara opens up the iconic tune, ‘I won’t Say (I’m In Love)’ while prancing around a Greek courtyard that is surrounded by a lot of the figures depicted in Greek lore. There are statues that invade the background, and she continues to sing by herself.

At first, the scene can be taken as an innocent infatuation. She is singing while conveying her feelings, but a TikTok user, elldramaticaromantic, had noticed that there was something going on in between the lines. As she studied some of the statues, she concluded that there were signs of sexual assault in the movie.

The TikTok user points out that Megara sings, “I thought my heart had learned its lesson” as she passes by all the statues in the courtyard. She has concluded that these are assault scenes based off of Greek mythology, and that Megara is trying to be cautious with her feelings.

The statues show women who are trying to get away from the men that they are with because the men were using force to restrain them. In light of this, the TikTok video has started to gain traction, and other users are shocked to see what Disney has put out.

A user commented, “It’s kinda interesting how from far away they look like they could be love scenes but if you look closer they’re clearly not.” Another adds on, “Not to mention they are more likely to show parts of what could be close to what happened to Meg.”

Another one pointed out that the statues were based off of real stories that involve Aphrodite and Pan, Nessus and Deianira, and the last one looks like it is Nymph and Satyr.
