Disney’s Frozen is one of the most loved Disney movies of all time.
Its sequel is much awaited for, and now, Frozen 2 is set to release on 22nd November this year.
Its trailer revealed the plot of the second part where Elsa is challenged for a dangerous adventure to look for the truth in her icy-powers.
The cast is the same as the first part with Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, Josh Gad as Olaf and Jonathan Groff as Anna’s love, Kristoff. As if the wait was not enough, Josh tweeted a picture of the foursome with the caption reading soon enough.
Sterling K. Brown and Evan Rachel Woods are also a part of the sequel portraying the characters of Elsa and Anna’s mother, Queen Iduna, and Lieutenant Matthias.
The story will focus on Queen Elsa and her new attitude towards her icy-powers.
While in the first part, she was seen struggling to control her powers, in the latter part, she is rather seen learning how to use them for better. This comes after she finally embraced herself in ending of the first part.
After it was announced that a second part to Frozen is in works, fans demanded Elsa to have a love interest in the second part and put forward their wish for the love interest to be a lady.
A lot of people from LGBTQ community have been using Let It Go as their coming out tune, as the song’s lyrics are not about suppressing oneself.
There has been an online movement since then, as people had connected well to Elsa’s struggle in accepting who she was.
The addition of Woods has also contributed to the speculation regarding Elsa’s sexuality in the movie, as Woods is bisexual and is outspoken about gay rights.
However, Frozen 2’s co-director Jennifer Lee decided to stay mum on the topic in an interview last year.
