Dobermans have always been one of the dog breeds that people worry about bringing home.
Like pit bulls, dobermans are often labeled as “too aggressive” to be family pets.
Now, a rescue dog named Khan is changing that perception. In Australia, a woman named Catherine and her family decided to adopt a doberman named Khan. He had been abused by his previous owners for quite some time. They were determined to make him feel loved.
After just four days in his new home, Khan did something that left everyone in shock.

Catherine was inside the house when she noticed Khan acting funny in the backyard. Her 1.5-year-old daughter, Charlotte, was playing near him.
Khan began to nudge at Charlotte with his nose. Before mom could do anything, Khan picked up Charlotte by her diaper and tossed her a few feet.
Catherine feared the worst. Was Khan turning aggressive on her baby daughter? Was bringing him into their home a mistake? Was he about to really hurt Charlotte?
And then she heard Khan howl.
Khan had been bitten on the paw by a king brown snake. The reason he picked up little Charlotte and tossed her was to get her away from this highly venomous snake. After just four days at home, Khan was already protecting his new family with his own life.
Catherine immediately rushed Khan to a pet clinic where he was given an anti-venom that saved his life. She couldn’t believe what she just witnessed.

One thing is for sure, this brave doberman makes an incredible pet! Khan’s heroic actions have gone viral, and people everywhere are debating: are any dog breeds unfit to be pets?
Are any dogs more dangerous than others, or is it all about how the owner raises them?
